BLUE WATERS RESORT AND THE COVE SUITES
The Blue Waters Beach Hotel, as it was originally known, opened its doors in 1960, making it one of the longest established resorts on the island.
By 1984, Blue Waters had grown to 45 rooms when it was sold to Englishman Mr Ronald Randall, who had fallen in love with the property whilst vacationing with his family. Today, Mr Randall and his family work closely with the management team to ensure Blue Waters maintains the uniquely welcoming atmosphere and highest standards of service that can only be achieved in a family-owned property.
The Randall family have continued to invest in the hotel, which now boasts 116 rooms and suites plus 4 villas – with new restaurant offerings, a purpose-built spa and fabulous lobby renovation all featuring in recent upgrades.
Over the years, Blue Waters has won multiple awards, including the World Travel Award for the Leading Hotel in Antigua & Barbuda for the past 6 years in a row and Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Award for its contribution to the island.
Amenities
Just 15 minutes from V C Bird International Airport (one of the most modern airports in the Caribbean), Blue Waters Resort and Spa is set in 17 acres of stunning tropical grounds which envelope three secluded white sand coves. The resort offers four restaurants to cater to every taste, from a casual poolside lunch to the Cove Restaurant with its spectacular cliff top location, and fine dining at Bartley’s – plus there are poolside, beach and lobby bars and lounges, hosting regular entertainment. There are three freshwater swimming pools – with 50’ private pools located by each of the four Cove villas. Other amenities include a state of the art fitness centre, floodlit tennis court, water sports centre (offering sailing, snorkelling, wind surfing and kayaking) and a beautifully designed Elemis spa.
The Cove Suites
The Cove Suites comprise 24 lavishly appointed suites and 4 penthouses which sit in four large villas, set in several acres of lushly planted grounds on an elevated site, alongside (but private from) the Blue Waters Resort. Each of the villas has a 50’ pool for the exclusive use of its guests. The Cove Suites enjoy fabulous ocean and sunset views and guests and Owners have full access to all amenities of the Blue Waters Resort plus a dedicated concierge service to make sure the whole experience is seamless.
